Alma (Peg) Laura Adams, 79, of Brewerton passed into eternity on Tuesday, November 20, with her family at her side. She was born in Syracuse on June 25, 1928 and spent her childhood and early adulthood between Syracuse and Cato, NY. Upon graduation from Cato-Meridian High School, she chose an occupation in bookkeeping and data processing with Burhans & Black, Inc. Moving her career forward through joining the General Foods Corporation, she retired after 20 years of employment. Throughout her retirement she remained an active member of the TOPS Organization, holding several major positions and forging many lasting friendships. She volunteered her time and talents in many ways to enrich the lives of others with her family being her truest treasure. She is predeceased by her husband Douglas. The two were married May 16, 1954, celebrating 49 years together.
She is survived by three daughters; Peggy (Mike) Kidd of Durham, NC, Karen (Paul) Gilbert of Phoenix, NY and Phyllis (Ken) Sweeten of Cleveland, NY, ten grandchildren and four-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday at 10 AM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will follow in Dugway Cemetery, Mexico, NY. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday from 1-4 PM at the funeral home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
