Allene Ruckdeschel of Largo, Fl. (formerly of Central Square) passed away on June 16, 2012 at the age of 85.
She was the daughter of Anne and Donald Grant. Allene was a 1945 graduate of Eastwood High School.
She was predeceased by her loving daughter Judy Conley in 1977,
by her sisters Lorraine and Donna, and her brother Roy.
Allene is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Ken, 2 sons, Craig (Mary) McAfee, Ricky (Connie) McAfee and 1 daughter, Jill (John) Blackwell. Allene is also survived by 2 brothers, Ernest Grant, Ronald (Fay) Grant and 1 sister, Alma (Robert) Marcely. Her family also includes 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great greatgrandchild.
Allene will be remembered for her love of family and friends, good food, and tennis. All that knew her will remember her
charm and easy laughter.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Funeral services will be held on Friday 11am at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at White Chapel Memory Gardens.
