Allan Gardner, 97, of Mattydale passed away Thursday at Mercy Health and Rehab. He was born on July 9th 1909 in Vernon, NY and lived most of his life in Syracuse. Mr. Gardner was a self-employed painter of Gardner Decorating. He is predeceased by his wife Mildred in 1999, daughter Mary and son Keith, 2004.
He is survived by 8 grandchildren, Deborah (Matt) DeBottis, Renee (Chuck) Zepp, John (Kari) Gardner, Joanne (Marc) DeBottis, Diane Keller, Michael Slater, Brian Slater, Robert (Kelly) Slater and several great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday at 10:00AM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will follow in Lafayette Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with his family on Sunday from 1-3 PM at the funeral home, 705 North Main Street.
