Alice Loveland Mcnally
April 26, 1920 — January 20, 2018
Alice Loveland McNally passed away January 20, 2018 at the age of 97. She loved flowers, dancing, playing bridge, volunteering at her churches and hospitals, and traveling with her two husbands all over the world. With her first and long standing husband of 55 years, she attended many of his work related conferences, he always said she was his 'social director'. She also enjoyed many summers at the family 'Farm' in Norwich, VT, built by David's ancestors in 1821 and where they hosted many gatherings with David's Dartmouth 1931 classmates.
Alice was predeceased by her first husband, David S. Loveland; her second husband, Andrew McNally; her sister-in-law Grace Loveland; her older daughter Roberta Vest; and both her older brothers, Stanley and Dave Buck.
She is survived by her son, George Loveland and his wife Carol of Norwich, VT; younger daughter, Nancy Loveland and her husband, Robert Mitchell of Baldwinsville, NY; and son-in-law William Vest of Reston, VA. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Many thanks to the regular staff of Camillus Ridge Assisted Living for their caring support as she struggled with increasing dementia, and the folks at The Cottages at Garden Grove nursing home where she lived since 2015.
Burial and committal service will take place in Norwich, VT at the convenience of the family.
