Albertene L. Palmer

Albertene Laura (Nicholas) Palmer, age 87, passed away September 25, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 9, 1933 in Syracuse, NY to Ella Mae Haines and Leslie Wood Nicholas. She was married to Horton I. Palmer and he preceded her in death in 1991.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lorraine (James) Wentling and Kathleen (James) Davidson. She was also blessed to have six grandchildren; Leslie (Lori) Jewson, Christina (Stephen) Snell, Shannon (Joe) Skalski, Jennifer (Stephen) Harvey, Elizabeth (Brian) Wentling and Jason (Celeste) Davidson. She was truly lucky to have nine great-grandchildren, Alexis, Dezaray, Michael, Matthew, Natalie, Kaitlyn, Allison, Maxx, and Jayden.

She had an extremely fulfilling life going camping from May to September every year. She also really liked going to the casino to play the slots. Albertene spent time crocheting for every child being born in the last 60 years. She loved spending time with her family whether it be in person or on the phone. Nicki was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who loved her.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 10am to 12 pm with a funeral service to follow at 12pm at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 705 N. Main Street, N. Syracuse, NY.
