Albert L. Tanyer, 88, of Clay, passed away December 23, 2021.
Albert was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on April 29, 1933, to the late Fred and Mary Tanyer.
A U.S. Army Veteran, Al retired from Anheuser-Busch after many years as the Resident Engineer.
He was preceded in death by his Wife, Margaret Tanyer and daughter, Laura Jo Tanyer.
He is survived by his Son, Albert (Debra) Tanyer; Daughter, Rebecca N. (Ken) McPherson; Five grandchildren, James (Stephanie) Burk, John (Marisa) McPherson, Scott McPherson, Kaitlyn Tanyer and David Tanyer.
At a young age, his family moved to Southern New Jersey where he graduated Penns Grove High School in 1951. He excelled in baseball and boxing, and won 2 Golden Gloves.
He earned his mechanical engineering degree from the University of Delaware where he met Margaret.
The Korean War saw him in the Army right after college, and the Reserves took him to 1965.
He and Margaret had three children. They lived in Delaware, Michigan, Iowa, Missouri and then to Baldwinsville, New York, where he concluded his career as Resident Engineer starting up the Anheuser-Busch brewery in 1981. He retired in 1994.
He thoroughly enjoyed, loved, and breathed his kids and grandkids. He always had a smile on his face! If he could help someone, he did. Being there for you was who he was made of. He exuded a love-of-living. He raised his kids, and enjoyed with his wife, the foundation of love of God and Jesus. He was awesome and such a blessing! He will be missed!
Visitation will take place on Friday, December 31, 2021 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals from 12-3pm, with a service at 3 pm and military honors to follow.
