Albert Andrew Major
March 23, 1951 — June 9, 2016
Albert Andrew Major AKA "Big Al", "FBI" and "Wahoo", 65, of Cicero, passed away peacefully on Thursday surrounded by his family after a long illness.
Albert was a lifetime member of the Cicero Fire Department, serving over 25 years. He retired from Crucible Steel after 40 years. Albert was an avid SU Sports and NY Yankees Fan.
Albert was predeceased by his father, Peter Major; sisters, Evelyn Revette and Sandra Major and his wife, Belva Major.
He is survived by his "baby girl", Roxy; his mother, Louella Major; two children, Kenneth (Catherine) Major and Heather Poli; three step-children, Dale White, Daniel White and Theresa Redding; five grandchildren, Shayne Major, Kyle Lambie, Gabrielle Major, Allison Major and Caraline Major; brothers, Donald (Peggy) Major, John (Bonnie) Major, Robert Major and William (Colleen) Major; sisters, Arlene (Jeff) Erskin, Deborah Major, Suzanne (Dan Carroll) Major and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday 4-8PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse.
A funeral mass will be Friday 10AM at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero with burial to follow in Pine Plains Cemetery.
