Alan W. Komanecky

Alan W. Komanecky, 75, of West Monroe, passed away on Saturday May 7th at Upstate
University Hospital. He was born in New Hartford, NY on June 5, 1946 and was son of the late
William and Elizabeth Komanecky.
Alan was a 1964 graduate of New Hartford High School. He graduated from Syracuse University
where he was a member of wrestling team and the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He earned his Masters
degree from SUNY Oswego and had retired after a 35 year teaching career in the Cicero-North
Syracuse School District as a math teacher, football, lacrosse, and wrestling coach. Alan enjoyed
summers at his family camps in Skaneateles, SU athletics and golfing.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen, his sister Nancy Altamuro, sons; Paul (Ellie)
Komanecky, Christian (Allison) Komanecky, step-son, Harold Meyers, step-daughter, Melinda
(Jamie) Robinson, and grandchildren; Ella, Lily, Etta, Cody, Trevor, Alexis.
