Joseph Jason Macina, 50, of Syracuse, passed away January 31, 2024. Joseph was born in Syracuse, New York on June 16, 1973 to John and Donna Kelley.
He was formerly employed with Syracuse University as an HVAC employee. Joseph was a loving father and grandfather that took great pride in the family he had built. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, spending time at the casino and was an avid Raiders football fan. He loved all things SU Orange.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father, John Kelley; grandmothers, Emma McClellan and Barbara Kelley.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Elizabeth Wettlin-Macina; four children, Bryce Macina, Nathan Goldthwait, Lexi Macina, and Linda Delamarter; two sisters, Melissa Kelley and Carrie (Kenny Lee) Kelley; granddaughter, Lily Martin; three nieces, Arianna, Kadence, Neveah; and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 5-6:30PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals. Sharing of Memories will follow at 6:30PM.
