Brady J. Tyo

September 4, 1991 — February 2, 2024

Brady James Tyo, 32, was born on September 4, 1991 in Syracuse, NY, and passed away on February 2, 2024 in Baldwinsville, NY.

Brady was a graduate of Baker High School in Baldwinsville, NY. He was most recently employed at Amazon, where he quickly rose from unloading trucks to working on the Robotics floor.

Brady's love of animals started at an early age. As a baby he terrorized Bear, Woody and Rebel, his family dogs, as he grabbed handfuls of fur and used them to stand up while learning to walk. The dogs quickly learned to move away from him if he crawled anywhere near, but if he did manage to latch onto one of them, they would lay or stand still and allow him to nestle up to them or haul himself up. Brady loved animals and over the years he was always around pets at his family's homes; dogs, cats, fish and a little black guinea pig named Timmy that he and his sister Brittany would cuddle. Brady and Trisha (who Brady considered his wife) kept two dogs, named Nadia and Star. Brady considered Nadia his baby and had a special bond with her.

Brady had a loving and nurturing soul. One day while riding in the car he spotted a pigeon cowering on a bridge in Baldwinsville. We were on the way to a Scout meeting and couldn't stop because of traffic, but we promised Brady that, if the pigeon was still there on the way back home, we would stop and check for him. It was still there on the trip back home, so we picked him up and brought him to a veterinarian for his injuries. While the vet was obviously not thrilled about caring for a pigeon, Brady wanted to keep it as a pet, which he did. A friend of the family kept racing pigeons and when he saw the pigeon, he remarked that those are known in racing circles as, "Clinkers", or pigeons that do not race well. That is what Brady named his pigeon, Clinker.

As a child and as he got older, one hobby that Brady enjoyed with his father and others was fishing. Numerous trips to local lakes and rivers were made, and were usually successful. Both Tom and Linda would regularly take Brady to Gloucester, MA for deep sea fishing trips, including many side trips into Boston and especially to visit the Boston Aquarium.

Brady started in Cub Scouts in the First grade, and remained in Scouts until Eleventh grade. He enjoyed participating in camping, rock climbing ,various trips, and playing together with his friends in Scouts. He also enjoyed the Pinewood derbies, and popcorn sales (for the prizes). As it turned out, he was a good salesman from an early age. He wasn't pushy or aggressive, rather he was genuinely kind, friendly and informative and helped people find what was best for them.

His sales acumen was really evident when he worked at Best Buy, selling computers. A few weeks after he started, Brady's regional manager traveled to meet the company's top computer salesperson, to thank him and give him a little gift as a token of appreciation. Brady was filled with pride for this accomplishment, even though he hated sales work! The real reason he accepted the job was to eventually transfer to the Best Buy auto group, installing car stereos, car starters and everything cars. This is what he really loved to do and had a passion for; building computers and working on cars.

Shortly after Brady left Best Buy, he got a position with Amazon working on the robotics floor, which he really enjoyed. When his dad, who also was a computer geek, would ask him how work and other things were going, Brady would open up like a floodgate. Brady liked being able to converse with people who could understand everything he wanted to talk about; computers, cars, and life in general.

It's obvious that Brady was a very caring, loving, nurturing person who was willing to help or give himself to anyone or anything. When he gave his trust, friendship or love, it was complete and straight from his heart. His friends and family are well aware of that and none know that better than his buddy and roommate Kevin or the love of his life, Trisha. The love and trust Trisha and Brady had for each other was absolute. They fit so well together that it was impossible to tell where one ended and the other began. Brady loved his friends and family, which completed his world, and everyone who knew him, loved him. He was a happy person and proud of how his life was progressing and improving.

Trisha's social worker, Dorothy's tribute: May your memories live on beyond the stars and to everyone's lives you have touched. Your tremendous heart and kind soul will always be remembered. Your smile will forever shine in memory. I wish we could have had the pleasure of being friends. I'll take care of your Trisha Marie and make sure she'll be okay. You were taken away from so many people who loved you. I'll always remember your generosity spirit, and your love for Batman. May you rest in peace and watch over Trisha, family and friends. We love you, Brady!

We want everyone to know that Brady inspired those around him to be their best, and his mother and father are proud of the man he had become and loved him dearly.

We miss you Brady, we love you and know you are at peace looking over us.
