Kristine Lynne Moran-Smith

Kristine was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. She touched so many lives and became a friend to everyone.

Kris was born and raised in North Syracuse, graduated from Liverpool High School in 1982 with a license in cosmetology.

During her life she had many jobs but none she loved until becoming part of the family at Syracuse Eye Physicians where she spent most of her career as an eye technician. She most recently worked at Upstate Eye Clinic and was very excited to move on.

She loved camping, nature and the outdoors, especially her annual camping trip with the "girls" her best friends, Karen, Betty, Dina and Paula. Thanks to her many friends, she was loved by all.

Kris also had a love for cats and was always ready to take on another kitten or stray. Sunday mornings were for relaxing, her love of the Blue Moon Cafe and a good Buffalo Bills game. She was a lifetime member of the VFW post 7290.

She was survived by her daughter, Olivia Smith; mother, Joyce Moran; brother, Scott Moran and sister, Susan (Tim) Dixon and nephew, David Brown.

Kris was predeceased by her husband, David and her father, Bernard Moran.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 4-7pm. Services will follow at 7pm. Graveside service will be held at North Syracuse Cemetery, Friday, July 28, 2023 at 11am.
