Robert W. Slate Jr.
January 12, 1950 — January 30, 2022
Robert W. Slate Jr., 72, of Central Square, passed away surrounded by family on Jan. 30, 2022. He was born to the late Robert and Shirley Slate on January 12, 1950. He attended IHC in Watertown.
Robert was a long time employee of Miller Brewing Company. He coached a number of youth sports over the past 50 years. He enjoyed making people laugh, and loved to tell stories. He also enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and deer hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Slate; his children, Robert (Melissa) Slate III, Amanda (Grady) Warford, Michael (Melissa) Slate; and 4 granddaughters, Megan, Ashlyn, McKenna, and Rachel; and siblings, Jim (Jeanine) Slate, and Marylou Ewasko; and many nieces and nephews.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, and a sister, Kathy Allen.
Visitation for Robert will be held at Divine Mercy Parish in Central Square on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. With a Mass to follow at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flower memorial contributions can be made to Brain Injury Association of America or charity of your choice.
