Chester L. "Big" Andrews, 78, of Clay, passed away on Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Canandaigua, NY on January 17, 1942 son of the late Lawrence and Julia Andrews.
Chester was a Sales Rep at Transcontinent Record Sales for many years.
Big enjoyed golfing, and coaching softball for over 40 years. He was very active in the Cicero-Clay area youth sports leagues. Most of all he enjoyed eating his popcorn, watching the games and could make a friend wherever he went.
Chester is survived by his wife, Sharon Andrews; children; Chet Andrews, Tracy (Pat) Wall, JJ (Leanna) Andrews, Brandy (Bobby) Dunlap, and Casey (Shawn) Andrews; grandchildren, Josh (Jake), Makenzie (Mac), Riley (Ralphie), Kaiden (Pork), Bobby (Bob-Boots), Jay-Lynn (JL), Dante (Hairy 1), Parker (PJ), Britain (Hairy 2), and Brooklynn (Dodger); and brother, Phil Andrews; along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday August 1st from 1-4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main Street, North Syracuse.
