Loretta Fae (Gibbs) Ranke

On Monday, March 16th around 5PM Loretta Fae (Gibbs) Ranke, age 76, passed away at the Northwoods Nursing Center in Moravia, where she resided. Her family is comforted to know that she is finally at peace after several years of battling lung issues.
Loretta was born in Los Angeles, CA, on August 10, 1943, grew up in Delta, CO and attended Adams State College in Colorado where she earned a B.A. in Education and Busniness. Loretta was a business teacher in several states before moving to Canada. She spent 10 years teaching in Canada where she also enjoyed coaching cheerleading on the side. She settled in Moravia, NY in 1981 where her family bought and ran the Fillmore Golf Course in Locke, NY.
Loretta was predeceased by her father, Lowell H. Gibbs at age 62 and her mother, Wanna Mae Gibbs at age 58. It was very hard on Loretta having her parents taken too early in life and six months apart from each other.
Family was everything to Loretta. She is survived by her three children, Todd Ranke, Shantel (Michael) Yaw and Nicole (Michael) Capucilli; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother, Gary (Pat) Gibbs; as well as nieces and nephews.
Her family will have a small memorial at a later date due to the current environment surrounding the corona virus.
