James I. Roberts Sr.
February 18, 1935 — March 27, 2018
James I. Roberts Sr., 83 of Syracuse, passed away in the comfort of his home.
He proudly served in the US Marine Corps and the US Army. Worked as a correction officer for 20 plus years at the Jamesville Penitentiary. James was an avid camper and traveler.
He is survived by his children, Deborah (Richard) Dudley, John (Linda) Roberts and Jerry (Dayle) Roberts; grandchildren, Jamie (Ryan) Hiller, Randy (Marianna) Dudley, Paige (Patrick) Lawless, Matthew (Michelle) Roberts, Michael Roberts, Jessica (Mark) Norwood and Stephanie Roberts; 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his son, James I. "Robbie" Roberts Jr. Calling hours will take place New Comer Cremations and Funerals, North Syracuse on Monday 4-7pm.
Funeral Service will follow at 7pm. Burial will take place on Tuesday 11am at St. Agnes Cemetery, 2315 South Ave., Syracuse, NY 13207.
