Robert L. Harmon, Sr, born March 10, 1927 passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday. He attended K-12 at the Rome School for the Deaf. While there, he met his wife of 62 years, Frances and settled in North Syracuse.
He retired from Penny Curtis (P&C) Bakery after 42 years as a machine operator. Robert enjoyed spending his time with his family and the deaf community while bowling and golfing. Robert never used his hearing loss as an excuse; he was able to lead a fulfilling life. He will be remembered for how much he wanted to make those around him happy.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Frances.
Robert is survived by 2 sons, Robert, Jr and William (Mary) Harmon and 3 grandchildren including twins, Jordan and Aubrie and Courtney.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, October 6th 10AM at St. Lucy's Church, Syracuse. A celebration of life will follow at the gym across the street from Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Lucy's Church.
