David A. Birk

David A. Birk, 65, of East Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2017.

He was born on July 23, 1952. David worked at the Onondaga Co. Sheriff's Department for 26 years.
David was an avid NY Mets and Giants fan. He loved listening to rock n' roll and partying with his family. He always had the best sense of humor. David was a wonderful father and husband and will be missed greatly by many.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Harry and Josephine Birk and brother Allan Birk.

Surviving family includes, loving wife of 30 years, Wendy Birk; Son, Christopher A. Birk; Sisters, Johanna (George) Bloss, Julie (Robert) Rudd; Nephews, Robert Rudd III and Mitchell Bloss; Niece, Allison Carr; as well as several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. A celebration of life will follow.

In lieu of flowers donations can be to the National Kidney Foundation, 731 James St # 200, Syracuse, NY 13203.
