Gale A. Evans, 64, passed away on August 5th with her daughter, Tracy by her side after a long and brave fight with heart disease. Gale worked part time at St. Rose of Lima School and tried to devote her extra time to the Carrier Field of Dreams in East Syracuse. She was devoted to bringing awareness to childhood cancer and served on the board of the Jonathan Cancer Fund. Gale's main priority was spending time with her family, especially her grandsons who brought her the most joy.
Gale was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Shirley Stormes and a brother, Bobby Stormes.
She is survived by her daughters, Tracy (Marc) Macro and Marie Hutchings; beloved grandsons, Nathan and Connor and grandchildren, Ashlee, Conor, Ashley and Carly; sisters "sister", Johanna "Hanna" Marks and Patty Bozzuto as well as several devoted friends and other family members.
To show your love for Gale, friends and family may call Wednesday 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. A funeral service will be held on Thursday 9AM at the funeral home with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jonathan Cancer Fund or Maureen's Hope Foundation.
